Hi, I wanted to know is there any difference in resetting CPU manually between older CPUs and new CPUs (which have a different selector on it)

I know for doing this I have to move the selector between STOP and MRES, but should I do the same for new CPUs?

Well,

As per my knowledge in Some of old CPU,There was a Backup Battery Provission having a selector switch in front with Removable notch.

Correct?

So i think in that case you need to remove the Battery first before resetting CPU.

i generally seen this in S7300CPU having MC not MMC.

Dear Amit,

If u will remove batteries & MC it is actually Flash Card the automatically the program will be lost from the CPU. But as soon as u insert that Flash card again the program from the Flash card will be transferred from it to PLC. So in this case u need to transfer latest backup in Flash card.
