Which CPU has the highest speed from S7-300 ?

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (1000)	desmul24 ... signal processing of requiring maximum of 2ms sampling time. I am not sure whether this CPU can handle my program or not, I know i can check scan time of every OB's. but do you think it is possible and be 100% sure to check this offline before I purchase this CPU? Thanks again and everytime ! SetupInterrupt OB35 to 2ms is not a problem. But depending from the code that must be done, you can get problems with scan time and Timealert. If there is a large program with a lot of floatpoint arithmetic that mus be done, there will not be 100% safety if it will work. If you have doubts, than use the faster PLC or even WinAC RTX. If you have a look at the operation list of your favourit CPU, you will find the times of all instructions, than you can do a calculation of what time your code may need.

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Well, i did OB35 with 3ms call-up on 414-2DP. Inside was 12 parameters acquisition with a large number of floating operation - it was fourier transform to get harmonic of 1st and 6th order plus some other work to do. Works stable - about 150 machine-years at the moment But writing code there was a real puzzle. Plus i excluded almost everything from that CPU.
