SF 314 IFM

erwintenbrink Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Users, I want to download an program to the Siemens 314 IFM plc but it keeps giving me an SF on the plc. The diagnostic buffer tells me that: STOP caused by programming error(OB not loaded or not possible, or no frb. Breakpoint in user program. cyclic program OB1 I think i should be an very easy thing to solve but i can't solve it myselfe at the moment. Can someone help me? Thanks! Erwin

In your case I suspectit isan address out of range or invalid marker area.

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello erwintenbrink; When you get a message such as thios one in the diagnostic buffer; "OB not loaded or not possible, or no frb", look in the foolweing entry, the missing diagnostic OB will be identified. So if the miossing OB is OB121(for example), go to your Blocks folder and create (right-click, New...) an OB block which you will name OB121. Then save and download it to the CPU. The next timetyhe CPU encountersthis problem, the diagnostic buffer will be filled with specific information on the cause of the SF, because the OB in question will provide an interface for the diagnostic buffer to the PLC program and tools to collect the information. And as a bionus, the PLC will not gor to Stop mode because of this fault (the SF LED will remain active, but the CPU will continue operating if it can). Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Use OB 121 to stop PLC going to STOP Mode. regards, Rahul
