Hardware configuration_DP master/ slave

KB_79 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear All, i am getting a problem as below: i have start new project in profibus master/ slave configuration. i have used CPU 319 3PN/DP as master station and two nos. DP slave using IM153-1 & one Intelligent DP slave (cpu 315-2DP) in the profibus master network. while i doing congiration in hardware; DP slave with IM153-1 can be inserted in the network by inserting the node number and other parameters. BUT while i want to insert intelligent DP slave (cpu 315-2DP) into the network it was not done!!. i am doing in this way: insert object (DP master system)>configured station>CPU31X. doing this there is a window opens DP slave properties; couple, configuration tab. when i configuration complete the configuration tab adding one MS row there is a ERROR massage: "there is no assingnement of logical master/ slave address". Could you pl give me any solution? Thank you & Regards,

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 3054 Rating: (1062)	Hello KB_79 it seems you only missed out on the stepwhere you configure the I/O's that are to be exchanged between the DP Master and the I-Slave, hence you get anerror message. Anyhow, have a look at the link below which contains a detalied description on how to set it up: DP link between CPU 315-2DP (slave) and S7-400 (master) I hope this helps
