S7 200 to PC using RS485

osirisf16 Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	The hardware is: three S7 200 PLCs, one Isolated RS232/RS485 converter and one PC. Profibus cables is being used to wire the PLCs untill the converter. The S7 200s do NOT have a Profibus CP or something. I checked the pins of the serial adaptor that is being used on the PLCs and it seems that the green wire of the profibus cable is connected to the pin number 3, the red one on the 8 and the ground of the profibus cable on the number 5. The cable ends on the converter where you can see at the image (on the right side of the panel). From there, the RS232 is going directly to the PC. What kind of communication is that? And what communication blocks are being used? Sorry, i don't have the program of the 200s. Attachment DSC00875 - Copy.JPG (295 Downloads)
