2100 nck battery warning threshold reached

alexmac_uk Posts: 118 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I currently have the error code 2100 on my controller. It's an 840d with windows 95. The only battery I can see is on the back of the pcu. There isn't one inside the ncu. This had been changed before and didn't seem to do anything. Now if machine is turned off over night all data is lost the next morning. Does the battery just need changing again?

alexmac_uk Posts: 118 Rating: (1)	Yeah I think it's an 840d. Maybe it's an 840di though but there is definately no battery in the ncu. The only battery is on the back of the pcu under the hard drive

SteveA Posts: 297 Rating: (42)	It would help to know what control you actually have. The Di control is much different than the 840D or 840Dsl. A part number or model number off a sticker would help. The Di does not have an NCU. It does have an extra battery on the MCI2 board plugged into the PCI slot of the PCU. As far as I know, all regular, non-Di controls have an NCU with a battery that is attached to the fan module. HTH, SteveA
