address I/O in safety

michals Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello, when I add I/O module, for example 4/8 F-DI DC24V in HW Config, it cause set "Q address" too. Why, if it's only input module ? Similar is with output module, when is add, it cause set "I address" too What is more, range of address is strange, too much (for 4 input is set 0...5, so it is forty-eight addresses). Maybe part of range is reserved. I have not any idea

For example, if in the hardware configuration that specific 4/8F DI card is allocated I address of 23.0 - 28.0, the channel addresses are 23.0 - 23.7. But i think thats if they are all setup as 1oo1, if they are setup as 1oo2 the address range is 23.0 - 23.3. I could be wrong though, just learning myself, clarification would be awesome.
