vijayprabu Experienced Member Joined: 3/23/2012 Last visit: 3/12/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Dear friends, i am using one OS server and 3 OS clients, when i tried to download the wincc project from ES to OS , Simatic manager Not responding once the download reaches 20 %..... this problem accoring when i download the projects to OS2 remaning systems are ok. i checked all the wiring connections and path it seams normal. i attacehd the screen shot, suggest some ways to short out the problem. Yes the PC is configured for both server names. 2. is user name and password for ES andOS2 are same? No both names are different. 3. is installation done on OS2 same same as OS1? yes all installation and hardware and software configuration are same . 4. if Drive on which project is getting downloaded is mapped in ES? yes the the program is mapped with ES. 5. are licenses available on O2? yes simatic HMI (advanced process control) , wincc RT (1000 po), simatic NET industrial ethernet (cp-1613) and simatic net redconnect license are available in os2 like os3 and os1..

vijayprabu Experienced Member Joined: 3/23/2012 Last visit: 3/12/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	i changed the shared folder setting and i tired to download(Contol Panel/Administrative Tools/Loal Security Policy -> Local Policies/Security Options -> Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts -> set to „Classic - local users authenticate as themselves“), now download thaken place. but now i am facing one more problem , when i checked the Windows workgroup ES and OS1,OS3 are in group but when i check in Simatic shell ES,OS2,OS3 are in group. i cant find the reason for this . i tried to open the shared folder of OS1 from ES its opening buti tried to open the ES shated folder from OS1 it asks user name and pwd.

ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	Ideally, in Simatic Shell you shall see all the computers which are connected on Terminal Bus. This enables the Downloading of project from ES to SERVERs and Clients and also it eneables communication between Servers and Clients. now your OS1 is not responding it means that PWD and USER name is different. you can make both same and try. Also, you can open Simatic Shell in ES and right click on computer to see settings.one popup will open, showing the terminal bus avaialble. you need to select the correct physical bus there to enable terminal bus (TCP/IP) communication Check and revert.
