Ententa Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	Hello, A TEMP diode started glowing recently just next to power diode, and I was wondering where the temperature is being measured. I have checked documentation but its saying that its a 1kohm anode located on motherboard. My question is where on motherboard, since i disassembled PCU to find it in perfect condition, no slightest evidence of dust inside. Is it temperature of the processor (CPU) suggesting that thermopaste has worn and it need be replaced, or maybe is it power section, I dont know.

I have some account problems so my nickname may be something strange As for the problem: No alarm form NC regarding temperature, only orange diode on the front panel. The PCU is 50.2 All fans are working correctly and are clean. The temperature inside PCU seems right too, chasis is cool, and air coming from the vent isnt hot. I have read that the temp must be over 60C for the diode to lit. Thats why I was wondering where the temperature is measured. I suspect that this may be cpu temperature, since I have tried to check CPU temp in PCU BIOS, and couldn't find it (i figure that the temperature sensor may be disconected from PCU and lead out to front panel as diode).

Ententa Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	I have opened PCU and it was clean. I have also cleaned it with compressed air (the one used for chips cleaning, but from reasonable distance). Now I just need to know where this diode is located. I simply cant clean it any more. The only thing that it may be is thermal paste on cpu, but replacing it would mean that machine has to be stopped for a while and i cant do it unless im sire thats the case.
