Oracle VM Box machine/WInXP/Step 7 Pro

Asw19flier Advanced Member Joined: 1/16/2013 Last visit: 9/30/2025 Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I have been spending a lot of time trying to connect the usb prommer and the usb mpi adapter to a Virtual Box machine installed on the oracle. Basically I don't know how to bridge these two components over to be recognized by Step 7 in Win XP. I managed to have the usb prommer recognized by my Win 8 64Bitmachine and installed in Win XP environment. The problem is I cant get them inked. No matter which port I connect the prommer to it is not being seen in Windows XP environment. Same for the with the MPI adapter. Last but not least, I tried to bridge the USB stick containing the license to the Win XP and it is not recognized either -any other stick is seen except the Siemens one... This is all really frustrating. There is still a lot of people that would rather use the the V5.5 environment to do their work than upgrading to V 11 (and it is not the matter of paying for the upgrade...) Any sensible advice before I reformat my new WIndows 8 laptop to Win 7 32bit?
