spindle orientaion plm in 840di sl

SRITN Bronze Member Joined: 3/25/2012 Last visit: 9/29/2025 Posts: 99 Rating: (3)	Hi....i am using siemens 840di sl. At the time of orientation of spindle i am getting different position at the low and high gear...is there any way to make it in same position...thanks in advance..

DPJ Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi SRITN, What is the gear ratio of low & high gear? If you want to do the orientation in high gear then whenever you give the command M19 then first shift the spindle in high gear then perform the orientation.For that you have to modify the PLC program. Regards, DPJ

MBA Posts: 594 Rating: (79)	which Settings you selected for the spindle Ref ? where is encoder mounted ? have you mount a Bero for external REF mark? have read the manual "Function Manual Basic Functions / S1: Spindles" ?
