Abed.Al Advanced Member Joined: 12/6/2011 Last visit: 7/3/2025 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I've a problem and I hope to find the suggestions here. I am working on a Concrete Batch Plant system. Everything is working fine regarding the operation. My problem is with Reports. In the system, two types of reports are printed; Truck Report & Daily Report. The report usually containns the materials requested and materials delivered in KG. The customers are requesting me to create a "Customer's Full Order Report", which is: for example lets assume that a customer requested 100 M3 concrete. Lets assume that every truck can load maximum of 10 M3. This order will be delivered in 10 trucks. So, we have 10 "Truck Reports", which is already working and one final report of the total order quantity 100 M3. I was thinking of creating tags for every material and make addition every truck and printing a report after the "Delivered Quantity" is equal to the "Order Quanity". But the problem is that some times we get inturrpted by other client who is in rush while still the first one' order not finished yet. So, we will have to "Save" the work and values and everything related to the first client, and then start a new order for the new client. And then after delivering the new order, the operator is to go back, and open the first client's page, and see the order, what was delivered, whats remaing, and then continue with them until the total order is finished. Here, I cant use my idea of creating memories and tags in the PLC because it will be changed for every client. My previous work will be deleted. I think I will have to associate every client with seprate tags. However, this is not applicable as you know. I am sorry, I know its complicated and I dont know if I was able to clear things out, but I really hope that you can help me out even by small tricks or anything that would lead me to a solution. BTY, I am using WinCC v7.0. I will be happy to answer any questions about the above. Thanks!

If you bear with me, let me give you an example of the issue I am facing so things would be clearer: Lets assume the operator got an order from Client "A" with a total quantity of 100 M3 concrete. Then, he will go to Reports picture I have created, he will enter this information in that page, then he will start the operation. Usually, four different materials will be drawn every cycle. Lets assume that the truck of 10 M3 will take two cycles, each of 5 M3. In the PLC, I have created four 32-bit tags to know how much materials were drawn every cycle. Its pretty easy, at the end of each cycle, I use the "ADDITION" instruction to add the weight of the previous cycle up with the weight of the current cycle, and so on. Back to our opertor, lets say he has already loaded five trucks, which means he delivered 50 M3 for client "A" , and all values are saved in the PLC tags (the 32-bit four different tags). Then, lets say, client "B" called urgently for 20 M2. The operator will stop the work for cleint "A" , and shift for client "B" because its urgent. Now, the problem begins. He will go to reports page, enter clients "B" information, and then start the batches. Here, in my program, the memory tags, and all information of client "A" will be deleted, because client B now is here. The total delivered quantity for client "A", and the quantity of each material delivered to him will be forgotten. And instead of client "A", client "B"'s info will be registered and saved. This is not proper in my opinion, I am trying to make a system which can handle this issue. I am trying to make something that can handle all of the orders and all of the clients at the same time, and saves every client's orders, deliveries, remainings and everything related. I dont know what to do! I am note sure, but does the "Data Logging" help in this case? Or will have to go and learn some Data base softwares? SOOO Sorry for this newspaper :( I couldnt figure out how to write my problem in another way. Thanks a lot!

Bizur Posts: 1530 Rating: (59)	Hello Engl. L, you could think of using WinCC Option Batch. I discussed it with a colleague and he also has got opinion (like you), that interruption in order will cause problems. Especially report system of WinCC isn't designed for doing this. Normally superimposed systems do this job. If you want a solution inside WinCC you would have to programm it all by yourself. In theory, I think somehow you have to associate your clients with separate tags, but not with separate tags for each real customer. You could create records for "current user" and for "rush user" and only if everything is finished you copy record to real user name and print out your report.Memory can't be created in your PLC, as you already mentioned. You should use your records in recipes as memory and do calculation primarily in your PLC. I think that's a quite big effort. Best regards Bizur
