Communication of Simatic S5 (CPU 928B) with Sinamics S120 Drives and Simovert 6SE42 Drives

cuman Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I want to have a revision in Simovert 6SE42 drives. In current system we use Siemens S5 PLC (CPU 928B) and Simovert 6SE42 drives. Drives are communicating each other with Fiberoptic(USS Protocol) also with Siemens S5 PLC. In the revision I want to change 6SE42 drives with Sinamics S120 drives. Is it possible to communicate Sinamics S120 with Siemens S5 PLC? I read some threads that it can communicate via S5 IM 308C. Moreover, current plc system has communication assembly group module (6ES5524-3UA13) and this module doesn't provide PROFIBUS communicaiton. If I add S5 IM 308C extra to the system, can S5 PLC work with these 2 modules together at the same time? I m asking this because there are 6 6SE42 drives in the system, I ll change only two drives to Sinamics S120 and there will be 4 Simovert 6SE42 in the system. Is it possible to communicate S5 PLC and Sinamics S120 and Simovert 6 SE42 all together? Or should I change all Simovert 6SE42 drives to Sinamics S120 drives? Thanx for the answers ..
