yuvalg Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello I believe I’m familiar with all PID documentation (for control, standard, modular and self-tuning PIDs) as well as their examples and forum's threads on the issue. Despite what mentioned above, I cannot find a useful solution for a case where heating by SSR, and cooling by ON/OFF valve are needed, for a measured control area. (I found an example with SSR for heating and proportional valve for cooling (implemented by STEP PID), but it is not the case, andcouldn't use it). Does someone have a TIP/example how to implement it ? Thanks in advanced Yuval

I'm still looking for a detailed information about how to implement temperature control PID using two different elements (buddy heater and on/off valve) controlled by pulses output. It is obviously different PID parameters for each element/block but it controls one process only (maintain constant temperature), and then how can you perform an auto tuning when using two different PID blocks, etc. I also could not find in any PID examples a simulating function for cooling process using on/off valve. Therefore, a lot of information that I thought would be easy to find is missing…Hope to clarify it soon, on this thread maybe…Thanks,Yuval

Hello,
For a member with that wide range of knowledge in PID controller,
it is necessary to be familiar with type of actuators and processes
are supported by blocks in SIMATIC range of products.If that is part
of a industrial application, I am sure all predicted functions suffice
all your requirement.If you are working on a academic issue or others,
please consult this reference of "Controlling With SIMATIC" and the

standard hardware and software packages, they are capable of
implementing and realizing their idea in automation.My final suggestion
would be asking "Support Request" for new idea but their information
and offering helps are based on manuals you checked earlier.
