Dangus Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Have a PLC who has too small FB,FC for the program we got. The PLC is a 314C-2 DP. which PLC would you recommend instead. It should befaster and got biggerFB,FC capacity. But as little work as possible. Many thanks! Daniel

Dangus Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	The art.nr is 6ES7 317-2AJ10-0AB0 / V2.6 And the problem is that this one only supports FB's with max length 16420 bytes. And after an translage from stl to fbd it got 19500 bytes, and i dont want to split it. //Daniel

One important question you have not answered: the Cpu 314C-2DP that you have now is a Compact CPU, with integrated Technological functions that are not available in standard CPUs such as the proposed S7-315-2DP. These include highh-speed counting and frequency measurement, digital and analog positionning... Make sure that your present program is not using these special functions, you cannot transfer your progranm to a standard CPU without modification, and possibliy the requirement of specialized FM hardware. Dangus The art.nr is 6ES7 317-2AJ10-0AB0 / V2.6 Sorry you lost me here What PLC is it you have there? 314C or 317 2DP? If you have the Compact PLC, please have a look if the special functions are used. This CPU has also onboard i/o so there have to be done many changes in hardware and in adressing off the I/O.
