Something wrong with my CPU 224XP

hoang25688 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear all members and experts, I'm doing a project with CPU 224XP DC/DC/DC 214-2AD23-0XB0. The sequences are quite hard with alot of timers and things, it also needs 2 PID loops, USS control for 3 inverters. I use port 0 for USS, port 1 to go online with my PC. My problem is: when i call PID loop (or make them called every cycle) or use some subroutines with timers that go on and off very offten (like delay 100ms to ensure the analog value comparision to avoid switching) then the communication between my PC anh CPU goes failed. It may cause some malfuntion in my sequence like: the pumps and valves did not stop and close when their running timers reached to the setting values. The CPU timers seems to be paralyzed! It very hard to debug program without online scanning like this, i use differently timers, PID loops, memories....but it still fail every time then i come up with the idea that my CPU have some internal errors. The attachments will show you the error message i encounter, sometimes it also show the message "Port could not be opened or is being use for another application". Please help me if you have experiences with s7-200s and these kind of errors. Thank you very much! Attachment error.jpg (249 Downloads)

This article below says: to avoid switching of "EN", you must call PIDX_INIT in every cycle, so i think if not called, the PID instruction will not run. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objid=10805149&treeLang=en In my project, i use SM0.0 bit to call the PIDX_INIT in "Main", is that right or wrong? Does it make an CPU failure like before?

Regards, Marcjan This is the program that i still working on it. This project is the upgrade-type so it's very hard to do since i'm not the one who start it from the beginning but i've changed like 70-80% of the program to meet the new requirement. I used to work with newer PLC like Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix, compactlogix...and they're very user-friendly, now working with s7-200 is a mess for me. It's a possibility that i'm not a good PLC programer too. Please look and give me some advice. Thank you so much. Attachment PLC-06052013.zip (315 Downloads)

When ever any operation in panl occur like contactor or relay pickup, communication with PLC got failed & it gives same error as HOANG25688 says. Don't know what is wrong with those USB PC PPI cables.........!!!!!!!!!!!! I also checked earthing, it is perfact & having no doubt of it.
