Regarding SET and RELEASE commainds in 840D SL system

vivekperies2484 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, we are using 840D SL System in which we have a total of 11 axes including two table spindles and a live spindle.One table spindle and live spindle is in first channel and other main spindle is in second channel.Also all the geo axes(X,Y,Z)are also on first channel.I just want to turn the second main spindle which is in second channel from the first channel with all the geo axes.So i consulted my collegeaus and they told me to use RELEASE (MSP2) in second channel and use SET (MSP2) in first channle by which the second table spindle gets into first channel.But the first half worked(RELEASE command in 2nd channel) whereas the next part(SET command) didnt work.So Please give me suggestion and guidance on this issue as soon as u can ..Thnax for all...

vivekperies2484 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	MSP2 is the name of the axis in second channel and wen i give the GET command in first channel like GET (MSP2), an alarm appears like "Axis MSP2 not configured or option not activated".This the alarm message and i dont remember the number..Thanx for ur reply MBA...
