jolter ggg Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	hello everyone , i want to send data from power meter to wincc 7 and power meter is modbus rtu supported , but in tag management of wincc there is no option of modbus rtu , what can i do in order to include it in wincc ???

Purchase Allmendinger.de's Modbus RTU channel for WinCC v. 7 and use the WinCC PC as a Modbus RTU master to interrogate each slave directly: http://www.allmendinger.de/Produkte/WinCCKommunikation/MODBUSProtocolsChannelforWinCC/tabid/1874/language/de-DE/Default.aspx 2. Use an OPC server (Simatic Net, Matrikon, TopServer...)on your slaves and configure the WinCC OPC channel as an OPC client. 3. Use a small, relatively inexpensive CPU with Modbus RTU master interface (such as ET 200S IM 151-8 + 1SI module) and collect the Modbus RTU data inside it; then connect it to a S7 Protocol Suite channel in WinCC (Profinet in this case) to read in the collected Modbus data.
