WINCC FLEXIBLE 2008 SP2 INSTALLED, PROSAVE V7.4 PROBLEM REPORTED : OS CORRUPTED ( BOOT UP SCREEN IS NOT COMING) PROGRAMMING TOOL : WINCC FLEXIBLE 2008 SP2 OUR LAPTOP:. TIA WINCC V11 SP2, WINCC FLEX 2008 SP2 . PROSAVE V 9.0 1. UPDATED THE OS USING MY LAPTOP AND USB-PPI MULTIMASTER CABLE VIA PROSAVE. SETTING MADE AS RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS. 2. AFTER THAT TRIED SAME THING WITH CUSTOMER LAPTOP, COULDN’T ESTABLISH THE COMMUNICATION WITH HMI (RESET TO FACTORY SETTING WAS ENABLED) TRIED THE SAME BY UN CHECKING THE RESET TO FACTORY SETTING OPTION, AT THAT TIME IT WORKS FINE. CONCLUSION: 1. WITH PROSAVE V9.0, CAN ABLE TO UPDATE THE OS BY CHECKING RESET TO FACTORY SETTING OPTION. IMAGE LOADED WAS TIA IMAGE. (RESET OPTION IS COMPULSARY WHEN OS IS TOTALLY CORRUPTED.) 2.WITH PROSAVE V7.4, CAN ABLE TO UPDATE THE OS BY UN-CHECKING RESET TO FACTORY SETTING OPTION. IMAGE LOADED WAS WINCC FLEX IMAGE. RESET OPTION IS COMPULSARY WHEN OS IS TOTALLY CORRUPTED. BUT AT THAT TIME NOT POSSIBLE WITH CUSTOMER PC. IS THERE IS ANY RESTRICTION LIKE THAT?? regards Vipz 1. 1.P

The settings are proper. Problem is happening when am giving check mark to Factory reset option. am using usb-PPI cable. there is no option to set (address etc in prosave). with the same settings everything working fine if i un check the reset option. regards vipz

You can use the USB/PPI Multi Master cable (Order Number 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0) E-Stand 05 for downloading. Tweety

Flexible is working fine, but the problem is when trying to update OS with reset to factory option enabled. without enabling the factory reset, its perfect. regards Vipz
