PID Auto Tuning

BBPrudente Posts: 112 Rating: (3)	Hello, With the S7-200 PLC i'm trying to control the speed of a induction motor powerd by a V20 inverter without the inverter PID. The PLC has the analog expansion module M235, where the SetPoint is a 4-20mA signal from a potentiometer and the other input is the PV (4-20mA) sent by the inverter. The Out signal from the PLC is one analog input for the inverter. Everything is successfully scaled. I'm trying to tune the S7-200 PID manually but i just cant (attach image), does someone knows how to use Auto Tunning S7-200 function? I tried, waited a lot, and nothing... Thanks! Hello, This might be helpful to you. Why does the PID controller created by the instruction wizard sometimes not work?

BBPrudente Posts: 112 Rating: (3)	viralpatel hi, please check option 15 on below doc. you will get clear idea regarding auto tunning S7-200 System Manual. viral patel Thanks forrememberingme the rules of reading the manual and looking for FAQ first, but actually i did both, and my problem still, thats why i came to the forum. Due to the manual the PV would cross the zero 12 times, and it will find the best Gain, Integral Time and Derivative Time. But, in my case, the AutoTune isnt oscilating the PV, it still as you can see in the image "PID2" and the PID Tuning stops because of the Watchdog... Attachment pid2.jpg (366 Downloads)
