Now I'd like to use OPC Scout(Remote) to access Local's OPC Server(S7 connection to DP Port). But I don't know how to do that, and I don'twhat isthe correct the wayof DCOM setting. Normally you would like to have an OPC connection to the PLC on the machine 192.168.1.201. You would like to connect to the OPC.SimaticNet running on this machine from 192.168.1.200. For this "dcomcnfg" tool of windows and setup the DCOM configuration for OPC.SimaticNet on the machine 192.168.1.201. Configure it that you can run this service from a remote machine and with your choice of user rights etc. For details on how to go about each step refer to the link Iincluded. Once you have setup the DCOM correctly you should be able to connect it from the OPC Scout on the machine. Use the option of Remote Server and you have to enter the name of the server 192.168.1.201 and the OPC service which is OPC:SimaticNet. If this does not clear your doubts , please feel free to ask.
