So, I think it would be better to have two valves. One for coarse (Big valve) and another one for Fine (Very small valve). Both of them will be opened until reach to 90% of set point weight. Then close the big valve and keep only the small one. until Actual weight = Setpoint weight - (flying weight). Please see the attached slide. Attachment Slide.zip (424 Downloads)

That's the problem. Thank you for any help. Now the stakes are getting higher. You are talking about a batching program. You can use the code you showed us, but after adding some modifications to make it look like a professional program. I don't have any materials about batching process except for my experience, so let me light up some points for you: 1- At the beginning of the process, you should zero the weigher (i.e. consider the weight being read when the weigher is empty equals zero) This is called dead weight. 2- Start opening the first ingredient valve until the weight read by the EM231 equals dead weight + required weight - flying weight. 3- Close the valve. 4- Wait for some settling time (Weights falling on the weigher must be stagnant). 5- If error is too big (minus) then you can open the valve once more until the result is reached as in point number "2". 6- If error is too big (plus) then you must warn the operator to either accept this error or to do some maual intervention (like removing some excess material by hand). 7- (Option) you can add the read weight to some data block to store the total used material from that silo. 8- Repeat from number "1" for the following three materials.
