You can say it is "hard coded" The pulse is accurate to micro seconds.. regardless of scan time. Using a PWM signal will do the job. There is a wizzard available to generate the coding for it. Coding a PWM from scratch looks very difficult, but working with the example inside Microwin help files makes it more easy. Please ask if more help required. w

For example of PTO, all what you have to do is to identify number of segments, no. of pulses per segment and cycle time. That's all. *Please see pages 2 & 3 of attachment of my last post.* I have tried it several times with stepper drivers and it is working fine. Hope this helps.
