Code protected cpu and loading new program?

Sten Arild Hvidsten Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Resetting to factory settings can help you. Take out any memorycards first. Then it's just to load it With a blank projekt again. You might get some compatibility errors if you are loading a larger codebase. At least i got that sometimes...

If you do know the password then you have to type it in when you do a download. There is a space for filling in the password on the page/window that asks permition to do the download. If you wish to do wipe the PLC because you forgot or do not have the password.. thngs are different. Do a PLC clear and set it to factory settings. Remember that you will need to fill in the network address as this will be cleared too. So maybe make a note of what it was, if this should be restored. Let us know if your issue is resolved. w PS: for instructions on how to clear the PLC, look for.. "Resetting a CPU to the factory settings" ..in the help of the TIA software.
