FB 1 PID_CP not installed with Standard PID Control Tool

The Standard PID Control Parameter Assignment tool was installed but can find the PID_CP anywhere in library... I go to File/Open/Libraries/Standard Library/PID Control Blocks but there is no PID_CP anywhere, its even mentioned on the Readme file on the DVD it came with... Its probably something obvious. Is it possible that I bought wrong software? I run S7 V5.5Pro and added Standard PID Control tool. But have no library nor the project sample after the installation....

Hello, As far as I remember, you should have 2 installing CDs.What order numbers did you purchase? Read the instruction accompanying the CD or DVD.If you miss "STANDARD PID Control FB", contact the SIEMENS Local representative for more help. Step Job Result: 1 Open the SETUP directory on your CD Standard PID Control FB. Double-click on SETUP.EXE to start program installation. This starts the installation program. 2 Follow the instructions of the installation program. 3 Open the SETUP directory on your CD Standard PID Control Tool. Double-click on SETUP.EXE to start program installation. This starts the installation program. 4 Follow the instructions of the installation program. Best regards Hamid Hosseini

The software you mention is:6ES7860-2AA21-0YX0 S7 STAND. PID CONTR. FBS V5.2, SL By the way my Siemens Dealer is really crappy, this isn't the first time they sold me the wrong software, they never know anything...frustration. Please confirm that this is in fact what Im missing.

FBS V5.2, SL it only opens the general document exactly as for 6ES7860-2AA22-0YX0 which I purchased. It does not mention WHICH FBS are supplied, or what are you getting at all. The technical data tab is also empty for both of these. Will I be getting the FBs described in this manual? Will they work under Step 7 v 5.5 Professional? None of it is listed anywhere and for a newbie, as myself, it is problematic... Thank you for your continued support! Gregg
