Cordep Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I'm trying to implement an GPRS connection with siemens MC35i modem to do that i'm using a librarie from Siemens (attached file) wich is very simple to use but i have no control of the connection i don't know the protocol to establish the GPRS connection and i'm having some problems with SIM cards that have dinamic IP.... the librarie is bloked so i can't see the code implemented in order to understand the protocol. I already looked in the Internet for the protocol to establish an GPRS connection i used HyperTerminal but some commands just doesn't work i get ERROR ... Is there any way to unlock the librarie so i can change the protocol and understand it? Thanks all Attachment set19_wdm_v1d3.zip (299 Downloads)

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi Librarie, Why not using the example for Set21 and a Siemens Sinaut MD720-3 modem with the Sinaut Micro SC? Basically the set 19 can work with any GPRS modem but the problem is that you need a expensive Headstation (WinCC + WebNavigator lizence) andthe provider settings are also not easy to configure. With set 21 you just need a PC with Internet connection (fixed IP-Adress is recomended). Also Program up/download and SMS is supported with set21. As "visu" you can use any OPC-Client. regards Helmut

Cordep Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Hi, This is for a water station and the client bought this hardware, modem mc35i, S7-200 (226)... I need to comunicate with another station that have the same hardware using a GPRS connection but i can't do it so easily as i thought sometimes it works just fine but it takes too long to get ip and most of the times it doesn't connect thats why i'm using this modem and thats why i would like to open the librarire so i can see and control de code perhaps re-write the code to my case with the librarie unlocked i can see and understand the protocol. I'm using Step7 - Micro/Win. Thanks

tevins Posts: 35 Rating: (1)	Hello! I have the same problem with SIEMENS modems and S7-200. No one can really answer to my question and give some support. L We started use PLC from Unitronics and now we have no problem with communication, but we have problem with traffic, it is very high. Unitronics PLC is cheaper, and OPC server is free.

Cordep Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Hi, I'm trying to use the Set 21 librarie wich seems to me extremely more complete and probably it really works i'm just adjusting my program to this new comunication hope this solve the problem.... but i still have a doubt in the pdf document it says that you need the: • WDC_INIT • WDC_SEND • WDC_RECEIVE • WDC_CONTROL Where the hell can i get the function blocks to put into the ladder? cause i can't copy the blocks from the example i can't copy the POUS i can't copy anything.... :( Thanks all, in advance
