I have PLC connected with Scalance and from scalance to the CU320-2PN I have a ring connection on ports P2 and P3. Everything is working perfekt and if I will disconnect one cable the PLC is still sending informations to the CU. The problem is that after time in parameter p2044 (IF1 PROFIdrive fault delay) the drive is going to stop. What can I do to keep it going if there is still comunication with PLC??

artCon GmbH Regular Member Joined: 1/15/2008 Last visit: 10/15/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (3)	PLC: S7-mEC with Windows Embedded firmware for the CU320-2PN is V4.6 PLC is not in the ring, the ring is only between SCALANCE and CU320-2PN SCALANCE is 6gk5204-2bb10-2aa3 so this is X204

Normaly all Profinet Controller and Devices are in the ring. Have you configured a mrp domain which includes all PN Devices of your Porject? Regards Christoph

The ring is working becouse I can change the speed of the drive when I will disconect one cabel. If I will switch to the other it is possible also and everything online. In my opinion this is a bug in the software becouse if in p2044 I have 100s and if there is again the same cable connection in life than CU should not stop the drive. It looks like CU remembers that something was wrong on the bus but is not removing that "memory bit" even if everything is ok.

The typical reconfiguration time for MRP is 200 ms, the watchdogtime for the devices should equal or greater then this 200ms. The watchdogtime you can configure on the IO-Device in HWConfig. SINAMCIS: open the properties page auf the pn-Interface go to the tab "IO Cycle" increase the factor for "Number of accepted update cycles with missing IO data" Regards Christoph
