Downgrade OS

Dawson Advanced Member Joined: 9/17/2013 Last visit: 4/29/2025 Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	HI, We have 2 laptops for various different bits of plant and I am now in the process of setting up a test rig, I have put software on one of the spare panels with laptop 2 which has a new version of wincc than laptop 1 but now the problem is laptop 1 can no longer connect to the panel. It cannot be updated because that would then mean a lot of the plant would then need updating aswell and this would take to much time, so my question: Is it possible to downgrade the OS in a panel? if so how can it be done? Thanks

One thing that worries me about this is the warning at the bottom of that page: Transfer of selected image to the panel. Attention: If you execute this function, then all data installed and the licenses installed on the device will be irrevocably lost ! Does this potentially mean I could brick the device? I am not worried about losing the data on the device as it has nothing important on there but its the talk of losing a licence that worries me
