Error after closing Step 5

dendhondt Bronze Member Joined: 8/5/2009 Last visit: 7/4/2022 Posts: 156 Rating: (7)	Hi, Probably after some WinXP security updates we have a problem with Step5 After closing Step5 we get an error message NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction ..... We can press OK or Ignore After this we cannot open the Step5 software again, we must restart the laptop first.

I found an image on google that is similar to my problem (the upper message) also the values are a little different (see attachment) it started just after some windows security updates but i can't find any information off it. akerr Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	We also have a similar problem seems to affect M2 programmers and not M3. Still have not isolated which windows update causes problems. If you use windows mode it dos not happen. Regards
