PLZ help me with the LAD program that i have to write in the PLC S7-200! Note: I want to send data from a program that i have written in PC , not from wincc or other programs! Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, check all tips on the S7-200 documentation CD-ROM (2'nd CD ROM of STEP7 MicroWIN) concerning freeport/ASCII mode. Here you can find information. Generally any non-Simatic communcation (such as USS, Modbus, .. ) is done in this communication mode. To connect the PLC to your PC you need the RS232 PC-PPi cable. The USB cable does not support freeport/ASCII mode. Hope this helps

Er. Sanjay Mistry Posts: 79 Rating: (7)	Simply serach RS232 freeport configuration in manual, it is too easy, but you have to configure your PC Port as PLC port i.e. baudrate, parity, etc etc. try it, & you can also filter characters in ASCII text received from PC.
