Mobile panels (no wire)

gogycro Posts: 61 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I need a little help with configuration and working principe of mobile panels. I need to control 1 big cranes with mobile panel with no wires. The factory produce big magnetic field so I think that is important to say becouse I don't know how will it effect on mobile panel communication. Program for mobile panel will be simple: GO, STOP, RESET nothing else, becouse the crane is used to move object from one part of factory to another, that is cca 30m. This is something new for me so I want to be sure am I thinking correctly. For crane we will use a S7-1200 and SCALANCE W device so we can get WLAN in that 30m area and our Mobile Panel 277 iWLAN will be connected on that WLAN. That is theory and idea. Now I need help from experience people. 1. Is this theory correct ? 2. Do I need to use fail-safe configuration of standard without F ? 3. What SCALANCE W to use in this specific situation ? 4. What Mobile panel to use with RFID tags, 277 or 277F ? Best regards, Goran

In the safety notes you can find this notes: Interference-free data net required Reliable operation of the HMI device is guaranteed only in a data net free of interference. Interferences which affect the radio network externally may lead to e.g. an overload of the HMI device. So if you want to use any wireless lan device in the near of your factory you first need somebody (a specialist for radio networks) wich analyse the possiblities to operate a failure-free network in this area. It would be the best if you take a look at the sales and delivery release of the Mobile Panel, there you can find all differences between the types of Mobile Panels, also the Scalance devices wich can be used: Sales and Delivery Release for SIMATIC Mobile Panel 277(F) IWLAN V2 (RoW) With best regards
