CPU314C-2PN/DP vs CPU315-2PN/DP

BilaLyba Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody, I would like to buy S7-300 PLC. I am thinking about one of these two devices: CPU314C-2PN/DP or CPU315-2PN/DP. I read their specifications and of course CPU315 has better peformance (times and so on) but CPU314C is not so bad as I see. I don't wait for answer which of them is better but what specific functionality they have to let you to choose one of them. CPU314C is compact and has some inputs/outputs on board. CPU315 is only CPU. Which one will you choose if you would need to buy one of them? Or maybe totaly another one is better choice here? Thaks a lot for support. BR, Bartek

Good if it has Profibus-DP master, PROFInet I/O, Controller, CBA (I am not sure if I use it :/). From one side I don't need inputs/outputs on board becasue I have an access to remote I/O stations which are to be controlled by S7. My first choice was CPU314C but maybe CPU315 is better for some cases? To sum up: - it is mainly to used as a master for "desk tests" - I am not desingnig or deploying very complicated technology line... "Desk tests" doesn't mean that it may be "very simple PLC". I need such functionality which corresponds to current market's demand. I hope I clarified my needs....If not, please ask again. BR, Bartek
