keegan14 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody im a student and im little beginner with step 7 and i need some help for my graduation project I must control the speed of a motor with pid controller, using fc 105 bloc (scale), fb41 and fc106 (unscale) to give an order to a speed dimmer to vary the speed of motor. Thanks

Thanks Hello, First , check if the idea is feasible with proper sensor and actuator selection. Please check all cases related to FB41 here: PID Control Package - FB41 Samples Consult with online manual and use this sample as a starting point: FB41_EX.zip Start implementing your own logic and share them here for more tips based on online result. The reflow oven is equiped with a speed sensor that give the measure of the conveyor , and it works with a dimmer (altivar 31) . I have to realize a step 7 programm to variate the speed of this coneyor Thanks

I have to realize a step 7 programm to variate the speed of this coneyor Thanks The most demanding task in such a project would be finding sensors and actuators with standard interface to the SIMATIC family.First you should select the proper SMs (signal module) for field device connections, test the whole wiring and set up and implement the PID controller program.For FB41,You have option of direct peripheral I/O processing without being involved in external Scaling/Unscaling algorithms.

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 1/5/2026 Posts: 6892 Rating: (1368)	keegan14 Good to know it ! , but how i can manipulate the different parameters of the fb41 , (p i d ... ) It is a loooooooooong story to select the parameters.Normally, you can find out how to parameterize its basic parameters in the online manual.Some parameters that determine the dynamic behavior of sytem, for that manuals can not help solely, you need to identify controlled system and optimize those parameters.
