F26, over 8 drives for one year.

mosun Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hi. I am working as maintenance engineer. I have experienced F26 so many times this year. 4 times 7year old compact type drives last week. 2times 2year old compact type drives on this month. 2times 1year old chacci type dirve three month ago. a few more timesF26in my memory. Everyone in charge of each process facillity want meto set up a plan against F26. There are two cases; IGBT Fail/Gate board Fail almost every dirve fault loghas few times of stall(F15). I concluded thatMasterdrive does not have enough overload capability. Any one recomend me to prevent these difficulties? Thanks in advance mosun

If your setting failure also will display this fault ( Like Drive model MLFB no mismatch, Motor mismatch configuration)... Even i found 4 times with this kind of mistakes ( s.no ;02) with our customer seeting... Bye...

ROM Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Hello there, Not a good experience with your drives I guess. Below arefew points to consider. F15 is basically a problem from the encoder for speed regulated drives. You have to consider also checking the motor load, frequent overloading shorten the life of your motor or the drive. Conductive dusts in the drive vicinity can also destroy the gate driver modules or IGBT. There is a thread for F026 in the forum Fault code F26 for 6SE7021-3EB71-Z

Tambe Posts: 148 Rating: (11)	Dear Mr. Mosun, I hope your systems are properly commissioned. And nochanges are made in parameters, cards (CUVC, PEU and any Add on card) is done thereafter. If this problem has started all of sudden I will suggest you to contact Siemens Service Centre of your Country. And I may request you to provide following Information to them. Fault intervals. Application and Environmental Conditions MLFB and Serial No. Of drive. These people will find out the exact reason as well as service the drives if required. I think this is best solution for your problem rather than making unfruitful trails. Master drive is very stable and good product take the precaution by contacting service people to avoid failure in future and minimize production losses. Regards, Tambe

ylhj Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Hi Mosun, I got the same problem last year and I have directly contact Siemens and send 1 defective inverter to Germany for their investigation. Eventually, they found the problem came from the main board and need to be replaced all. Siemens send their Engineer to my siteto replace the rest of 7 inverters (that is free for chargeunder warranty). I have asked their Engineer what different from the old and new board, he said all the capacitor is replaced.... I have not ask the reason for that but I guess it is production fault... not sure. simaticmanager Posts: 150 Rating: (5)	hi i also experienced the problem after 1mand half year of commissioning. i contact to the siemens person he visited and found a capacitor problem in the whole lot. all the drives then being replaced.
