sinamics S120 drive igbt power block checking procedure.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 1/20/2026 Posts: 6071 Rating: (828)	Dear kanha, please verify r0949 Fault value (binary): Bit 0: Short-circuit in phase U Bit 1: Short circuit in phase V Bit 2: Short-circuit in phase W Bit 3: Light transmitter enable defective Bit 4: U_ce group fault signal interrupted As well you shouldreconsider if - fiber-optic cable isinterrupted. - power supply of the IGBT gating module is missing. - a short-circuit happened at the power unit output. - defective semiconductor in the power unit.

Niladri_204 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Sir The same problem happened first for V phase then U phase & now in W phase within 3 months for same drive.we check & found in it's power block 1 no both IGBT are short circuited.please suggest what will be the reason for IGBT failures within a short period.
