just a clarification inbetween sir, can we use standard blocks(valve and motor blocks) from the APL v8.0 library for programming in our fail safe systems along with F channel drivers complying with SIL requirements

Hello,
You can create valve or motor function yourself using failsafe blocks if you used CFC programming. Note, it is possible to mix between IO modules. It means that may be there are standard modules and fail safe modules in the same system or even in the same IO rack. And for standard modules you can program their IOs using standadard programming. Only fail safe modules need to be be programmed using fail safe packages like Safety matrix or CFC. Hope this helps. |

hi, Thank you for your reply. Actually i want to point out my concern again to you.. can we use standard valve/motor blocks from APL library V8.0(standard blocks) with fail safe channel drivers for programming in fail safe systems(with all fail safe I/O's)? or are there seperate fail safe valve/motor blocks library?
