TP270 - S7-1500

Neil_MCS_Cov Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	We have a customer who currently has an Allen Bradley SLC5/05 PLC that communicates via Ethernet to what looks like (from photographs) a TP270. I'm told this TP isnt that old so I'm assuming it was programmed with WinCC Flexible. The SLC is being replaced with potentially a Siemens S7-1500. My question is will TP270 configured with WinCC Flexible communicate with a S7-1500? Neil

Ste39 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hi Neil, I think you can not, because the TP 270 is not supported by TIA Portal. I think you have to change the type of panel.

My question is will TP270 configured with WinCC Flexible communicate with a S7-1500? Neil WinCCflexible do not support S7-1500 communication know. The easiest solution would be to use a TP277 and WinCC(TIA). BUT depending from your TIA Version, also TP277 seems to be not supported any more. So, you are forced to go for a comfort Panel and use WinCC (TIA) like already said by Mohamed.
