Project Duplicator usually reduces the size cause it already does some cleaning. You have to check where the big size comes from. Is it database (mdf/ldf related or just other files). You can also create a batch-file in your WinCC project folder to cleanup sav-files & PRT_OUT Check attached sample. Attachment_CleanWinCCProject.zip (265 Downloads) |

Hey UMENCHO, ArchiveManager\AlarmLogging contains your historical alarm logging. ArchiveManager\TagLoggingFast & ArchiveManager\TagLoggingSlow contain your TagLogging If you want to run your project with a clean start, you can safely delete it. If you still need the old logged alarms and/or old TagLogging however, you should leave this folder inside. The batch-file just cleans all sav-files. You know the backup-files Graphic Designer creates whenever changing, updating and/or saving a pdl, WinCC creates a backup pdl with sav extension with the picture in its previous format. It also cleans up the folder with "print jobs/reports". That's all. If you want to be sure, first create a backup of your migrated project with Project Duplicator and save under another name. Then try cleaning and run your project. If something should go wrong, you can delete your project and use Project Duplicator again to save your backup project again under the original name. That's what I would try. Good luck. PS: some extra's you might wanna read the info below, although usually no big benefit and not without risk: How can you reduce the size of the transaction file (*.LDF) of the database of a WinCC project? How can you reduce the data volume of a SIMATIC WinCC project to be able to send it be e-mail, for example?
Always make a backup of your project before proceeding! |
