No feedback signal from motor starter?

fschwa Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hi, we have a motor starter F-DS1e-x 2.4-16A HF which should give us feedback if the contactor has been triggered. We configured IO address 120.0-120.7, thus 120.1 should be the feedback channel. However, the signal does not change. Do we have to do something else to get that signal? Thanks and regards fschwa

Thanks and regards fschwa Hellofschwa, F-DS1e-x 2.4-16A HF is an ET-200 S Fail Safe, Direct Starter (2.4-16A) configurable, High Feature type. To work with this Direct Starter, you have to know the process image input and output. Please have a look on the attached pdf file. For your case, the address used for Process Image Input is (I 120.0 to I 121.7). According to tables in the attached pdf file, I 120.1 : Motor On (0: Off; 1: On). Please take into consideration, that this signal is will change to 1 if the motor current is >18.75% of the set rated current. Hope this helps. Attachment ET200SM_e_PI.pdf (430 Downloads)

Oh it helped, thanks a lot! Since we use the starter for conductor rails, we mostly do not have enought current to trigger the signal. This explains why the other company has bridhed the signal as well. Thanks again for pointing that out. :)
