Can configure both 226 CPU comm ports as Modbus Slave

PravinS Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I have CPU226 with 2 Communication ports I wish to configure both ports for modbus Slave as my application requre. I could configure one port i.e.Port 0 as slave with modbus liabrary available. But there is no slaveconfiguration blocks for Port 1. Is it possible to configure both ports as modbus slave???? Please reply

If you need it you could write protocol by yourself. But why you need it ? If PLC is slave why you need this functionality on two ports ? You think about it as about slave device and remember that all modbus slave devices has one memory map for master and one physical connection. I think you need to have two slave devices (virtual) on one device. Its not possible.

I've used CPU-224XP as a Modbus Slave for both Ports and it is working.... For that you just need the libraries for both ports...I've dem..If u need, plsl et me knw... Regards, Prashaant
