Dear All,

I have a Siemens prosave backup file (.psb) of6AV6642-0BC01-1AX0 which is now discontinued and replacement is6AV6642-0BC01-1AX1. Both are TP177B type

Before make the purchase Iwant to confirm that I will be able to restore the program via same prosave to successor or not, please help me.

A short answer; It will work without problems.

When you create a WinCC flexible project for TP177B, you select the panel type and you don't select its part number. So, after compile the compiled file of your project can be downloaded to any TP177B.

Both mentioned panels are of the same type. Not the same part number. So, the compiled file which contains a project suitable for a TP177B can be downloaded to TP177B. Thus why it will be possible to use both panels.

More over as per thislink, Siemens tells that "6AV6642-0BC01-1AX1" is sucessor of "6AV6642-0BC01-1AX0".
