S120 Absolute Positioning Problem

hepguven Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have above hardwares; - Sinamics S120 (CU310-2DP and PM340 power unit) - 1FK7083-2AF71-1RA0 motor - MPI/USB cable I can connect the driver via MPI/USB cable in STARTER. I properly did the configuration of driver according to power unit and motor. Motor turns well when i choose "Positining Mode - Basic positioner - Positionin Relative". However when i choose "Positioning Mode - Basic Positioner - Positioning Absolute". motor does not turn and a message appears at alarm window. Message : 7461 : EPOS: Reference point not set. Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello hepguven, Before you can perform any absolute move a reference point must be set to establish a"zero" point. The reason you can perform a relative move is that a relative move command does not need to know of a "zero" point. Best Regards, Deputy

hepguven Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thank you deputy. I performed absolute positioning with the elp of your answer. Next step in this work, PLC sends absolute setpoints to S120. At siemens examples, I found a project that uses S7-300 and S120 communicating via PROFIBUS. I integrated this project to my work.I can receive actual position to PLC, and transmit control bits such as operation enabled, quick stop etc. to driver. However i can not send setpoint to driver. Any idea? Thank you. Best regards.
