Going online to Sinamics integrated with no source code

DavidBrown Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	1) If I don't have the source code of a Simotion D controller, and I want to go online into the Sinamics integrated part, what are the steps to take? 2) If I have Simotion Scout 4.3, to what Simotion firmwares am I able to connect to and go online in Sinamics Integrated part? 3) If I should want to change the programm in the SImotion part, can I make changes to Simotion controllers with firmwares les then 4.3? Or do I have to upgrade the firmware in the Simotion to be able to download changes? 4) Is there a list what hardware versions of Simotion controllers are upgradable to what versions of firmware?

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 1/19/2026 Posts: 22827 Rating: (3073)	Hello, 1)create a new empty project.connect the Simotion d controller with your pg. set the pg/pc interface to this communication interface.start accessible notes in scout.when the simotion d is found open the tree in the list an navigat to the integrated device. mark the checkbox on the sinamics an transfer the integrated object to the project.go online with the project and upload the drive parameters from the integrated. 2)Scout V4.3 is backward compatibel to all old versions (4.2,4.1,4.0,3.2) 3)yes the FW can be an older version. but the projected simotion in the project must havew the same version as the fw 4)no such a list doesn't exist. the new plc (d4xx-2) and the old (d4xx) all available with FW V4.3.
