Thought that I'd show them here for interest. My colleague is the one holding the hard disk. We might even find a bit of magnetic core memory or some bubble memory lying about . Just two years back, we did a housekeeping and found out that we had some 450 Floppy Disks lying around .. an assortment of 5 1/4" and 3 1/2" ( Containing backups of old projects ). Before throwing them out, we copied their data and all the data fitted on just 1 CD ( It was totalling just 500MB or so ) I have never seen an 8" Floppy however the HDD Pic, you posted sure reminded me of the huge 20MB HDDs of the DEC 2050 Mainframe computer in my college. You needed 2 people to lift one and put it on the HDD controller. Well the computer itself was one big room. Probably today's Smartphones have much more computing power than those huge mainframes, but back then those seemed very powerful !! Cheers Navnag
