I think use S7-200 CPU 222 AC / DC / Relay - 6ES7 212-1BB23-0XB0 , and expander 32 x DI 24 V DC / 32 x DO 24 V DC - 6ES7 223-1BM22-0XA0. Accordingthis document "file_2575", page 17 , the maximum number of inputs and outputs is : Digital inputs/outputs/max. number of channels with expansion modules 48/46/94. But in the manual 6ES7212-1BB23-0XB0 , page 3 , available number is : Digital inputs/outputs, max. 78 ; max. 40 inputs and 38 outputs (CPU + EM). Why is there a difference? Which is true? Marcjan Diamond Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 3/31/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	Hello, The manual is right, see link (TAB technical details) 6ES7212-1BB23-0XB0 CPU 222, AC PS, 8DI DC/6DO RELAY Why it's wrong in the flyer, don't know. If this is a new project i would not go for a 200 CPU, because as you can read in the same link, the 200 is in the Discontinuation Fase. A 1200 would be a better option. Regards, Marcjan

With their phase-out declaration, the products will still be available as new components for another year until 10/01/2014. After that, the products can be obtained as spare parts for an additional 9 years. For new applications, it is recommended to employSIMATIC S7-1200 products with the configuration software STEP 7 Basic V10.5 or higher. I can understand you have a problem with spending extra money for new software, if you can buy a new 200 now, you will have support for about 10 years. But you have to switch sooner or later to the new products. The S5 is a good example, people are complaining that there is no more support(except the forum) But they did ignore the warnings themselves for many years. I can tell you that Tia v12 works on a xp machine, have it running with no problems. Regards, Marjan
