We have drive sinamics s120 with cu310 type: 6sl3310-1te32-6aa0

We have a problem that sometimes drive has fault and doesn’t know one of his component (internal smc30) I ask you and you recommend upgrading from v2.5 to v2.6

I have a CF`as spare I want to upgrade the cf but because this is the first time I worry about problem that occurduring upgrading and stop our production

My question is it is possible I make a copy of project in new cf and start to upgrade the new one

If there is problem or for any reason I want to back v2.5 I put away the new one and insert the old one

thanks for reply it was perfect

just one question both my CF is version 2.5 so as you said if i upgrade the CU310 in the project by STARTERto Version V2.6( in target device / upgrade device version) so when i want to download the project offline to the new CF-Card the STARTER give an alarm and can not connet because the project is v2.6 but CF is 2.5?
