SFC13 RETVAL

I downloaded the code to PLCSIM to check if it works or not. Actually It does not look like it does anything. If I request a diagnosticit give me RETVAL= 6, if the request is off it give 28672 back. I started look up the fault codes, but I did not find them anywhere. I created a picture with a couple of screenshots about my test project. mopS04 Posts: 5521 Rating: (1058)	dear MicroMan, see that Manual, where you can find anything about the RETVAL-Parameter from the SFC´s: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/44240604/0/en page303 especially from the SFC13: • If an error occurs while the function is being executed, the return value contains an error code. • If no error occurs during the data transfer, RET_VAL contains the length of the data read in bytes as a positive number. on page 87 are further information on the RETVAL-parameter. regards,

The first fault code means 16#7000: "First call with REQ=0: no data transfer active; BUSY has the value 0." The second when it get REQ :=1. 16#0006: means it copies 6 bytes. Actually I expect to read out 129 bytes. Reason my block does not work is that the data I evaluate is in the byte 10. Which is somehow not copied over to my RECORD. Any idea about this? Actually I spotted that my record is not ANY pointer. I place a pointer to point my the record data area. Cheers
