I'm seeking your help in the below issue.
In July 2014, we had fault F026 on simovert masterdrive 6SE7032-6TG60 , S/N T-R30647600050, and we found one IGBT defective in phase line 2.

Because the IGBTs installed inside were P/N 6SY7000-0AC82 used with IGD 6SE7033-2EG84-1JF0 (as per attached part list),

we were obliged to replace 12 new IGBTs P/N 6SY7000-0AE73 (replacement to 6SY7000-0AC82) and replace the IGD board with 6SE7033-2EG84-1JF1 (replacement to 6SE7033-2EG84-1JF0) without installing SMU and SML boards.

Since then, we started to face failures of new IGBTs in very short period before two failures breakdowns

In every breakdown, we are replacing 1 or 2 IGBTs out of 12, and every time from a different phase line (see below history)

Ineed your assistance to understand the cause of the problem and to solve this issue permanently.

History of problem:

on 6/19/2014, a fault F026 appeared, we replaced 4 IGBTs on phase 2 and IGD board.

on 7/15/2014, a fault F025 appeared, we noticed that IGD board doesn’t match with new IGBT version as per Siemens instruction, therefore we replaced the remaining 8 IGBTs (4 on phase 1 and 4 on phase 3)

Since then, we started to face repetitive failures on IGBTs.

on 9/4/2014, a fault F027 appeared, on phase 3, 2 IGBTs failed.

on 10/15/2014, a fault F026 appeared, on phase 2, 1 IGBT failed and IGD board was replaced because it was affected also.

on 10/29/2014, a fault F025 appeared, on phase 1, 1 IGBT failed.

on 10/31/2014, a fault F025 appeared, on phase 1, 1 IGBT failed.

on 11/3/2014, a fault F025 appeared, on phase 1, 1 IGBT failed.

today on 11/4/2014, a fault F027 appeared!!

Drive and parts info

Type : 6SE7032-6TG60-Z , Serial # : T-R30647600050

IGD board newly installed are all P/N: 6SE7033-2EG84-1JF1

IGBTs newly installed are all P/N 6SY7000-0AE73

IGBT installed and have failed are made by a company called INFINEON and type BSM300GA120 DN2S.
that's what is written on them.

hi, first of all, please ensure all IGBT purchased are genuine

for 6SE7032-6TG60, replacement IGBT is 6SY7000-0AF07

SMU1, SML1 and snubber resistors to be omitted when using IGD3 with IGBT 6SY7000-0AF07. In this case, the inverter busbar 6SY7000-0AK01 resp. 6SY7000-0AE43 can still be used after removing the connecting brackets of the snubber resistors.

All IGBT bought are Siemens Genuine parts, Bought from Siemens.

I’m confused concerning of P/N of IGBT 6SY7000-0AF07 .

The part list of the drive 6SE7032-6TG60 shows that IGBT used have P/N 6SY7000-0AC82 (see attached file)

In Siemens website, they put successor to P/N 6SY7000-0AC82 is P/N 6SY7000-0AE73.

I suppose 6SY7000-0AE73 is replacement for drive <200A, with PN 6SE7031-......

Did you install 6SY7000-0AB18?? This should be omitted if with new IGD.

actually,in Siemens service support website, for P/N 6SY7000-0AC82 (description : SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES IGBT-TRANSISTOR MODULE BSM300GA120 DN2S, 300 A, 1200 V), they putthat this item is discontinued and its successor is P/N 6SY7000-0AE73 (description : SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES IGBT TRANSISTOR MODULE BSM300GA120 DN2F, 300 A, 1200 V)

for the snubber resistor 6SY7000-0AB18, when we first installed the new IGD board 6SE7033-2EG84-1JF1, we removed all of them.

And for the WR CONDUCTOR BARS P/N 6SY7000-0AE43, we kept it there after removing the connecting brackets of the snubber resistors, as per Siemens instruction (see attached file)

we are following step by step Siemens document, and I have repaired several Chassis type drive in the past and without any problem, but this is the first timeI encounter such failure, which I couldn't understand its cause yet.
