Configure analog encoder

DavidBrown Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	What settings exactly have to be done to configure an analog encoder in Simotion D. The analog encoder is on 0-10 V card on ET200S. If I set 'TypeOfAxis.NumberOfEncoders.Encoder_2.encoderIdentification to 'Direct', TypeOfAxis.NumberOfEncoders.Encoder_2.encoderMode to 'Sensor analog' and TypeOfAxis.NumberOfEncoders.Encoder_2.encoderType to 'Sensor absolute', I get errors when checking consitency, but they don't lead me to correct settings. What settings realy have to be done to use a 0-10Vsignal as absolute analog encoder?

Encoder_2.encoderIdentification to 'Direct', Encoder_2.encoderMode to 'Sensor analog' and Encoder_2.encoderSystem to 'Linear_System', Encoder_2.encoderType to 'Sensor absolute', Encoder_2.encoderValueType to'Position' Attached is a xml export of encoder TO. DavidBrown Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	I can get it working with the proposed settings for an external encoder. If I try the same for the encoder of the axis itself, I get error messages. Are there restrictions for the encoder of an axis compared to an external encoder? I use FW4.3
