LOGO!! copy protect feature

ionut.b Posts: 289 Rating: (3)	I have a LOGO without display with no memory card, software inside LOGO. If before power-up I insert a copy protected card into LOGO slot, what will happen with the program initially stored in LOGO? Is the program still inside the LOGO or I will not be able to use it from now on only with this card inserted? Thank you.

Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	LOGO! can execute always only one program. If you plug the card and power up, the existing will be overwritten by the program from the card. It´s like transferring a new program via PC.

Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	No, if you pull out the protected card, LOGO! is empty. Opposite to an unprotected card. So the program is only executable if the card is plugged in. In that way it is avoided to be able to copy the program to a second (empty) card.

ukro Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Greetings, if i insert the sd protected card to the PC and copy to another sd card and insert it to the logo will it work? I tested it on the same card after format and it works. So actualy as i see there is no actual copy protection Please advice as this is very important to me. Thx !!

ukro Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Greetings, FYI i just came up with the idea to auto generate random number on every PLC run. So actualy every time a new password is generated. And the person must call to us to get the password to log on to the PLC. This solution have 25Blocks, so now it is protected but i lost thoose 25Blocks. Peace.
